Travel to Argoat - the interior of Brittany

To make a journey through the north of Brittany is to experience a unique coastal region. The interior of the north coast of Brittany is also full of unique impressions.

Breton towns and villages = granite and slate

Idyllic towns like Morlaix and Lannion
invite the visitor to take a stroll.

The markets: the highlight of daily life in the towns and villages, lively and sometimes entertaining.

Deeply rooted in Brittany: the church

The enclosed parishes with their Calvary:

High points of religious life.

The mild sea climate has a favourable effect on the surrounding vegetation, enabling some camellias to grow as high as houses.
Many other plants also thrive: hydrangea, mimosa, fig, bay, rosemary - and naturally, the majestic rose.

On a journey further inland, approximately 20 kms south of Morlaix, one crosses the Monts d' Arrée, an almost unreal landscape with wide-ranging views (on a clear day towards the coast of Roscoff),

a few km further south east brings you to the legendary and mysterious world of Merlin and King Arthur

with devil's grotto and trembling rock.

Huelgoat is not only an experience to be made in the Autumn.

One enters unexpectedly into the mystery of the past:

Witnesses to the Megalithic culture -
sometimes rather awkwardly positioned.

Castles and forts, processions, flea markets and other events, cider, crêpes and fried mussels, there's so much to experience -
because Brittany is more than just a journey's worth.
